TEACHING STATEMENT

My teaching philosophy is rooted not only in educational theory but from my own experiences as both a student and an educator, understanding the challenges of engaging and motivating learners. I have found that engaging students in class, especially when introducing some new concept or topic, can be challenging. By reflecting on how students prefer to learn, what activities they learn the most, and putting myself in their shoes, I continuously adapt my pedagogical approach. I strive to foster an environment where curiosity flourishes and active participation naturally becomes part of the classroom experience. While acquiring new knowledge is important, I believe my responsibility as a teacher extends beyond that, which includes teaching fundamental skills that could prepare students to become contributing members of society, such as effective communication and collaboration.
